Description
Animals can become stationary for several reasons, such as death (e. g. due to poaching, accidents or natural causes), injury or being trapped. A tag can also be considered stationary when it is shed by the animal that is carrying it and thus not moving anymore (i. e. remaining within a certain area for a certain amount of time). With the presented MoveApps’ Workflow, we offer a method to efficiently detect these diverse scenarios using GPS data.
